I think one of the best parts of being a photographer is the connection I make with the people I photograph. So often, I’m photographing someone and we are chatting and they tell me something that blows me away. This happens regularly, and the reason is because we all have these stories that are our unique perspectives on the lives that we’ve lived so far.
When this happens, I feel like I’m often able to dig a little deeper and find that thread - whether it’s pride, triumph, relief, or something else, entirely - that adds so much more depth and beauty to the images we are creating.
Now, I’d like for you to tell me a story.
WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS…
What makes you unique? What event changed everything? Through what difficulties have you persevered? What adventures changed you? Does someone in your life inspire you with their bravery or generosity? Are these traits they were born with, or did they acquire them from an event or situation? Who do you admire most? What are you most proud of?
Tell me about your life, or the life of a friend or loved one. Everyone has a story worthy of telling.
After the giveaway is closed, I’m going to choose one story and gift that person a portrait session and share that story through imagery.
